# Extension bridge timeout

Seeing an "Extension bridge timeout" error? Try this first.

1. Open your browser's Extensions page (`chrome://extensions`, `edge://extensions`, or `brave://extensions`) in the same browser profile where Kondo is failing
2. Toggle Kondo **off**, wait 10 seconds, then toggle it back **on**
3. Refresh your inbox tab

If the error keeps coming back, you may have two Kondo extensions installed. See [Remove a duplicate Kondo extension](/duplicate-extensions).
